Have you ever seen Putin back down? And Obama can never make a decision so he just votes "present".
I vote Obama runs with his tail between his legs, a white flag waving in he wind to France where he talks about the situation with French President Nicolas Sarkozy whose comments were critical of the planned US missile defense system in Europe.
What a putz, vote PRESENT for us Obama!
If we expect to see TRUE results, both must back down.
This is basically a meaningless question. World affairs aren't simply a boxing match where the "tough guy" wins. That's just propaganda for the masses.
And it's not a "defense system," missile defense systems are the ultimate first strike weapon, so the Russians have no choice but to challenge them. The best result is that we will negotiate their removal and get some other concession from the Russians, we are far better off if we allied with Putin instead of continuing the Cold War.
Obama managed to get elected President of the USA, something everyone would have said was utterly impossible a few years ago, so I'm pretty sure he can take care of himself.
