   No, and we should just be happy with Russia. He is doing his thing and we do like to egg him on like the missle setup in the country next to them. We just love to tick people off in America.

   It seems so far to be the usual "saber-rattling" that they used to do during the Cold War. Islamic terrorists are more of a concern.

   It's all huffing and puffing. They just put a 'massive' amount of cash into their defense budget, however China, France, Britian all have bigger defence spending, and it's not even a 1/10th of America defence budget. Sabre rattling. Just like the cold war.

   The usa militarily it can compete with the usa militarily it can compete economically capitalist but politically communist.
   The ability to counter western advances in traditional russiansoviet areas of eastern europe and wants russia to be more like china economically and poltical goals to modifed soviet union while russia does not have the ability to be more like china economically capitalist but politically.

    Vladimir Putin should have been an actor instead, he'd be much better suited to that profession than politics - hence my opinion that we shouldn't worry about him and his country.
    I think the next James Bond movie should star him - at least he has real experience of the stuff.

    Vladimir Putin is one of the smartest and sanest leaders on the world stage right now, it's no surprise he is very popular in Russia. Unless you live in Chechnya or other small nation on Russia's border, nothing to worry about. The west should be worried about the incompetent and corrupt leadership in much of the west, especially the USA, that's the real danger to us.
