Actually I would describe him more as an opportunistic fascist capitalistic communist and he's not the only one in the 'new' Russia.
Lenin would be turning in his grave!

Yes, Vladimir Putin will attempt a new coalition, but this time the players may be more wide spread than the old eastern bloc USSR. Country's such as Iran, Syria, Pakistan ?, Venezuela, Bolivia, Paraguay, Cuba, these are all potential possibilities. The old regime would fight like hell to avoid being under Putin's thumb because they have learned the evil of Russia's way. The newbie's are too stupid to learn from history and what it's like to be under Russia's thumb. Live and Learn ! Putin is attempting to revive the evil legacy of Joseph Stalin, the most hated man, besides Hitler, of the twentieth century. This is pretty clear evidence that his intentions are to bring back Stalin's style of government.
